Update 0.2 - Implementing feedback in the prototype
To be honest, at first I was not sure if you should have kept on updating this prototype, but the amount of feedback that I received has convinced me to keep working on Mark’s Keep! I really hope I’ll be able to make this into a full game one day!
In this update I’ve implemented some of the new additions that were suggested by the players. Below is a list of all the new additions and changes.
New features
New item: Dungeon compass
Shows the position of the player on the map. There is one in every level.
Some people found the map of the dungeon not very useful, since it is hard to tell where you are, and suggested to add a marker to show the player’s position. If you get lost, this item might help you!
Rebalanced hearts drops
Hearts are now less likely to be dropped by enemies and smashable pots. Instead, the dungeons now contain chests in which you can find a single heart that will restore 1 health point.
Increased number of chests
They were definitely not enough previously! Now there are A LOT more! Tell me if you can find them all!
Changes
- Improved the visual aspect of level 3
- The 4-levers combination puzzle in level 2 is now sightly harder and now replaces one of the locked doors
